Our adventure begins in Lansing, Michigan. A city brimming with charm and natural beauty. With its picturesque greenery and stunning architecture, Lansing provides the perfect setting. For capturing unforgettable bridal moments.
From tranquil parks to iconic landmarks, we immersed ourselves in the essence of love. Photographing couples against the backdrop of this enchanting city. The combination of natural beauty and urban elements created stunning variety.
Anyone that knows me knows I love run-down and abandoned anything. So when I saw the old barn across the street from the golf course, I just had to go over there. To do some more bridals! The weathered wood. The peeling paint. The character of age. It was perfect.

Michigan State University Campus Tour
During our time in Lansing, our friend took us on a tour of Michigan State University. His beloved alma mater. Home of the Spartans. Him and the bride were cheerleaders there.
The campus unfolded before us. Showcasing a blend of stunning architecture. Sprawling green spaces. An atmosphere buzzing with academic energy.
As we walked through the campus, we couldn’t help but feel a sense of awe. Appreciation for the university’s rich history. Cherished traditions. Our friend’s personal insights and experiences added a delightful touch. Making this journey through his alma mater a truly memorable experience.
Urban Exploration in Detroit
But our journey doesn’t end there. We set our sights on the vibrant city of Detroit. Known for its rich history and architectural wonders.
However, we’re not simply interested in the well-known attractions. Our passion lies in uncovering the hidden gems. Within Detroit’s abandoned buildings. With a mix of excitement and nostalgia, we navigate the forgotten corridors. Capture the captivating decay of these once-thriving structures.

Discovering Detroit’s Hidden Treasures
We stopped by a church that has been on my radar. Were able to talk to the new owners’ assistant. He is turning it into a wedding venue. Brewery in the basement. Other exciting things.
We would have gotten a tour inside. Which was a dream of mine. But we had to fly out the next day. Hopefully one day I can photograph a wedding there!
We also visited Belle Isle. Came across a nature center that was absolutely amazing! And they had an abandoned zoo! I’ve seen photos of it before. From Urban Explorers I follow. But didn’t know it would be there.
We also stopped by the Packard Plant. A beautiful Catholic Church. I love Catholic Church weddings.
Walking Through History
Getting to walk down the street where the 1967 riots were. Learning about the history of the riots. It was an experience being able to be there. On the streets where it happened. It was unforgettable.
And if you know me, not only do I like abandoned buildings and places. I also love history. Learning about what happened at these places.
The combination of capturing love amidst Lansing’s beauty. Unraveling the mysteries of Detroit’s forgotten buildings. This has provided us with unforgettable experiences and memories.
